We’re expanding into GoHighLevel (GHL) as a new service offering and are looking for a GHL Strategist to build this capability from the ground up. Since we don’t yet have in-house GHL expertise, this role isn’t just execution — you’ll be the one shaping how we adopt, structure, and eventually scale GHL as a service, while also getting hands-on with the platform yourself. You’ll work closely with our leadership, project managers, and marketing teams to define what “good” looks like for GHL delivery at Rivulet IQ, and then build and maintain those systems directly.

Key Responsibilities

1. GHL Platform Setup, Configuration & Development

  • Set up and manage GHL agency and sub-accounts, including domain, DNS, Twilio, and Mailgun/email sending configuration for new accounts
  • Design and build sales funnels, landing pages, opt-in forms, and multi-step lead capture flows within GHL
  • Configure pipelines, custom fields, tags, and CRM structures tailored to each use case (internal or client)
  • Build and maintain calendar/scheduling systems, booking flows, and appointment automation
  • Develop email and SMS marketing sequences — welcome flows, nurture campaigns, drip sequences, re-engagement flows, and follow-up automations
  • Build and maintain automated workflows and triggers (behavior-based, tag-based, date-based, and event-based)
  • Customize funnel pages using HTML/CSS/JavaScript where GHL’s native builder isn’t sufficient
  • Set up membership/course areas, if required by a given use case
  • Conduct QA on all builds — test workflows, triggers, and automations end-to-end before go-live to catch broken logic, missing steps, or delivery failures

2. Integrations & Technical Architecture

  • Integrate GHL with our website(s) (WordPress/Webflow) and any client websites for seamless lead capture
  • Connect GHL with third-party tools and APIs — Zapier, Make (Integromat), Stripe, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and other CRM/marketing tools as needed
  • Set up webhooks and custom API connections for data flow between GHL and external systems
  • Troubleshoot integration failures and maintain documentation of all connected systems and their dependencies
  • Evaluate and recommend middleware tools when native GHL integrations aren’t sufficient

3. Strategy, Standards & Capability Building

  • Since GHL is new to Rivulet IQ, define the initial best-practices playbook: naming conventions, folder/pipeline structures, workflow templates, and QA checklists
  • Create internal SOPs and documentation so the capability doesn’t stay dependent on one person as the team grows
  • Evaluate and recommend the right GHL setup/structure based on the specific business or client use case (e.g., service business vs. e-commerce vs. B2B lead gen)
  • Identify how GHL can be packaged and positioned as a service offering for existing WLIQ/Rivulet IQ clients, and provide input to leadership on scope, pricing structure, and delivery timelines for GHL projects
  • Keep track of GHL platform updates, new features, and marketplace integrations, and assess which are worth adopting
  • Recommend when a use case is better solved with GHL vs. an alternative (e.g., WordPress + separate marketing tools), based on genuine technical judgment rather than defaulting to GHL

4. Automation Performance, Reporting & Optimization

  • Build dashboards and reports within GHL (and connected tools) to track lead flow, funnel conversion rates, campaign performance, and pipeline movement
  • Set up tracking mechanisms and custom values to measure ROI and effectiveness of GHL-driven initiatives
  • Regularly audit live workflows/automations for broken steps, outdated logic, or inefficiencies, and proactively fix them
  • Run A/B tests on funnels, email/SMS copy, and automation sequencing to improve conversion metrics
  • Provide monthly performance summaries for internal or client-facing GHL implementations

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Training

  • Work closely with Project Managers to scope GHL builds accurately and align on timelines
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure GHL campaigns, funnels, and automations are aligned with broader campaign strategy
  • Coordinate with the US team (Account Managers) on client requirements, expectations, and delivery status for GHL projects
  • As the team scales, train other developers/PMs on GHL fundamentals so the capability isn’t a single point of failure
  • Participate in relevant internal planning discussions (e.g., workforce/service-line planning) as the subject-matter expert on GHL capacity and delivery timelines

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of hands-on, proven experience building in GoHighLevel — workflows, automations, tagging, CRM setup, pipelines, and funnels (not just user-level familiarity)
  • Demonstrable experience integrating GHL with third-party tools/APIs (Zapier, Make, Twilio, Mailgun, Stripe, webhooks)
  • Solid understanding of marketing automation logic, CRM/pipeline management, and customer journey mapping
  • Experience setting up email and SMS marketing sequences with measurable results (open rates, conversion, response rates)
  • Analytical mindset — comfortable pulling data from GHL reporting, Google Analytics, or ad platforms and turning it into a clear recommendation
  • Strong documentation habits — comfortable writing SOPs and internal playbooks, not just building and moving on
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical GHL concepts to non-technical stakeholders (leadership, PMs, clients)
  • Experience working in an IT services/agency environment, ideally supporting multiple clients or business units simultaneously
  • Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity, since there’s no existing internal playbook to follow yet

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience setting up GHL as a white-label/reseller offering for an agency
  • Familiarity with WordPress or Webflow, for projects that combine website builds with GHL
  • Experience with Facebook/Google Ads management and how ad campaigns feed into GHL funnels
  • GoHighLevel certification or formal training
  • Exposure to AI-driven automation tools (e.g., AI chatbots/voice agents within GHL)
