The Project Manager owns the planning, coordination, and execution of digital and e-commerce projects from initiation through completion. This is an execution-focused delivery role — not a task-tracking position, a passive coordination role, or a substitute for business analysis and client relationship ownership.
You’ll translate approved requirements into practical delivery plans, establish clear responsibilities, manage timelines and dependencies, and ensure development, design, QA, and marketing teams understand what needs to happen next. You’ll work closely with Account Managers, Business Analysts, technical teams, and US stakeholders to keep projects moving while maintaining visibility into progress, risks, scope, and quality.

What you’ll really be doing
1. Project Planning and Execution
- Own end-to-end project execution from initiation and planning through implementation, quality assurance, and final delivery
- Translate approved requirements and scopes into project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, and actionable tasks
- Establish clear priorities, dependencies, responsibilities, and delivery expectations with relevant stakeholders
- Monitor progress against agreed timelines and identify deviations before they become critical

- Manage multiple concurrent digital and e-commerce projects while maintaining visibility into their respective priorities, health, and deadlines

2. Resource and Task Management
- Coordinate with development, design, QA, and marketing teams to assign work based on project requirements, expertise, availability, and priorities
- Break down deliverables into manageable tasks with clear ownership, acceptance expectations, and dependencies
- Monitor team capacity and workload distribution, highlighting resource constraints before they affect delivery
- Track task progress and follow up on commitments to maintain accountability across cross-functional teams
- Identify blocked tasks, understand the underlying issue, and coordinate the right people to resolve it
- Reprioritize work when competing demands arise, ensuring critical deliverables receive appropriate attention
- Work with technical leads and functional owners to balance delivery commitments with realistic team capacity

3. Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare and maintain structured project documentation, including project plans, technical briefs, flowcharts, status reports, and requirement documents, collaborating with the Business Analyst where appropriate
- Maintain and update project Scope of Work (SOW) documentation in coordination with the BA and Account Manager, ensuring delivery plans reflect the approved scope
- Document decisions, assumptions, dependencies, risks, action items, and changes that affect project execution
- Create clear internal and client-facing status reports that communicate progress, upcoming milestones, blockers, and required decisions
- Maintain accurate project records, change requests, meeting notes, and communication logs
- Ensure project documentation remains accessible, current, and useful to the people responsible for execution
- Establish traceability between approved requirements, assigned tasks, completed work, and agreed deliverables
- Use documentation to reduce ambiguity, prevent avoidable rework, and support smooth transitions between teams
4. Communication and Stakeholder Coordination
- Maintain clear, structured communication between India-based delivery teams, US stakeholders, Account Managers, and relevant client representatives
- Conduct project kickoff meetings, status updates, sprint planning sessions, reviews, and retrospectives as appropriate to the project methodology
- Translate technical progress, delivery constraints, and project risks into clear updates that stakeholders can understand
- Ask clarifying questions when requirements, acceptance criteria, responsibilities, or priorities are unclear
- Ensure decisions, approvals, and action items have clear owners and agreed next steps
- Communicate changes to timelines, scope, resources, or delivery expectations promptly, explaining their practical implications
- Coordinate with Account Managers on relationship-sensitive conversations, client expectations, and commercial implications without taking over account ownership
- Maintain accountability for project execution when challenges arise, bringing in the right stakeholders without abandoning ownership
5. Scope, Risk, and Quality Management
- Monitor project scope and ensure execution remains aligned with approved requirements and deliverables
- Identify scope creep, undocumented requests, conflicting expectations, and changes that require formal review or approval
- Evaluate delivery risks, technical dependencies, resource constraints, and timeline pressures throughout the project lifecycle
- Work with Technical Leads, BAs, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and assess the impact of proposed changes
- Coordinate change requests and communicate their implications for timelines, effort, priorities, and deliverables
- Track quality checkpoints and ensure development, design, and QA activities align with agreed acceptance criteria
- Identify recurring delivery issues and recommend corrective actions rather than repeatedly addressing symptoms
- Ensure projects are ready for handoff, launch, or closure with outstanding issues and responsibilities clearly documented
6. Process Improvement and AI-Enabled Workflows
- Identify inefficiencies in project planning, task management, communication, documentation, and reporting
- Recommend practical improvements that strengthen delivery consistency without adding unnecessary overhead
- Apply appropriate project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, or Iterative approaches, based on project needs
- Use approved AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Notion AI to summarize meetings, structure documentation, draft status updates, identify potential risks, and improve reporting efficiency

Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Project Management within a digital agency, IT services, web development, or e-commerce environment
- Proven experience managing multiple digital projects from initiation through completion
- Hands-on experience managing projects involving WordPress, Shopify, and WooCommerce
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across development, design, QA, and other delivery functions
- Demonstrated experience managing project timelines, dependencies, scope changes, risks, and stakeholder expectations
